The Board of County Commissioners met June 2, 1947 <br /> <br /> with the following members present: J. Lee V~nite, Chair- <br /> man, W. ~. Morrtson, C. N. Crowell, H. L. Fink, and <br /> Ray W. Cline. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by C. M. Crowell and seceded by <br /> <br /> Ray W. Cltne that following partitions be sent to State <br /> Highway and ~ublic ~orks ConEission requesting State t o <br /> ta~ over and maintain: Gravel road begirning at St <br /> Stephens Ch~ch in No. 7 Township and continuing to Concor~- <br /> Rockwell Road about 1/2 mile-Crowell Avenue in No. 2 <br /> 'l'ownship. Road begiming at a point beside R. R. Williams <br /> <br /> cabinet shop on Highway 29 and running in a sout~waster- <br /> <br /> nly direction to a dead end, the said road ~ approx- <br /> <br /> imately 950 feet in leng$~. <br /> <br /> $~otion by C. M. Orowell and seconded by W. I~. Mc~riso~ <br /> <br /> that following applications for beer license be approved: <br /> <br /> R. Lee Hopkins, Jack McCurdy, and Jeffersan Nero. <br /> <br /> ~'~otion by Ray W. Cline and seco~ied by Homer L.Ftnk <br /> <br /> that following partition be sent to State Highway and <br /> <br /> Public ~c~ks Commission requesting State to takm over and <br /> maintain acertain road beginnLng at a point on t~ <br /> Enochville Road near ~e ~illtop Service Station, and <br /> running in a Southwesternly direction to a poin~ in the <br /> new Bethpage Road near the home of ~arvey 0~ercash. Cline s~d seconded by Homer ~..Fink <br /> <br /> that the State Department of Home Economtc's appointment <br /> of ~iss Helen Mullis as Home Agent to Rowan Co and ICes. <br /> Edith B.
