139 1978 an order entitled: "ORDER AUTHORIZING $346,000 PUBLIC BUILDING BONDS"; WHEREAS, at the time of the introduction of said order it appeared that the County of Cabarrus had retired $520,000 principal amount of outstanding indebtedness during the 1976-77 fiscal year, but it has been subsequently determined that the actual amount of indebtedness retired during such period was only $510,000 due to one or more bondholders having failed to present their bonds for payment in a timely manner; and WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners is required to reduce the amount of bonds to be authorized pursuant to said order; now, therefore: BE IT ORDERED by the Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus that said order introduced on April 6, 1978 is hereby amended by substituting "340,000" for "$346,000" in the title and first paragraph of said order. Thereupon, upon motion of Commissioner Hammett, seconded by Commissioner Milloway and carried, the order entitled: "ORDER AMENDING AN ORDER AUTHORIZING $346,000 PUBLIC BUILDING BONDS" was placed upon its passage. The vote upon the passage of said order was: Ayes: Commissioners Hawfield, Hammett, Milloway, and Cook. Noes: None. The Chairman then announced that the order entitled: "ORDER AMENDING AN ORDER AUTHORIZING $346,000 PUBLIC BUILDING BONDS" had been adopted. Thereupon, upon motion of Commissioner Hammett, seconded by Commissioner Milloway and carried, the order introduced and passed on first reading on April 6, 1978, as amended, entitled: "ORDER AUTHORIZING $340,000 PUBLIC BUILDING BONDS" was read a second time and placed upon its final passage. The vote upon the final passage of said order was: Ayes: Commissioners Hawfield, Hammett, Milloway, and Cook. Noes: None.
