· Jl~ r <br /> <br />NORTH CAROLINA <br /> <br />Planning and Zoning Commission Minutes <br />May 16, 1996 <br />7:00 P.M. <br /> <br />Mr. Dewey Moose, ~r., Vice Chairperson, called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />Members present in addition to 'the vice Chair were Ms. aanice Harkey, Mr. <br />Carleton Hobbs, Mr. Walter Kiefer, Mr. Benjamin Lane, and Mr. Aaron Ritchie. <br />Attending from the Planning, Zoning and Building Inspection Department were Mr. <br />Jonathan B. Marshall and Ms. Phyllis C. Carr. <br /> <br />There being no corrections to the April 18, 1996 Minutes, Mr. Kiefer MOTIONED, <br />seconded by Ms. Harkey to approve the minutes as mailed. The vote was <br />unanimous. <br /> <br />New Business <br /> <br />The Vice Chair introduced the first item on the Agenda, Preliminary Subdivision <br />Plat Approval: <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />Applicant: Donald Whitaker,,et al <br />Request: Preliminary. Subdivision Plat Approval <br /> <br />This ,was a request to the Cabarms. County Planning and Zoning <br />Commission from Donald Whitaker, et al to have their subdivision <br />MotOrsports Industrial Park II subdivision plat approved preliminary. <br /> <br />Mr. Jonathan Marshall, Staff Member, addressed the Board <br />presenting Motorsports Industrial Park II stating that all lots meet <br />Cabarms County subdivision and zoning standards. He said Stough <br />Road is the projected route of the southern leg of the Westside Bypass <br />and is protected by the Thoroughfare Overlay Zone. Lots 12 and 28 <br />will not be allowed to directly access Stough Road. Mr. B., what did <br />you said about two roads being 600 feet aparff Staff recommends <br />approval.
