NORTH CAROLIN,~ <br />Planning and Zoning Commission Minutes <br /> January 16, 1997 <br /> 7:00 P.M. <br /> <br />Ms. Katherine Stafford,. The Chair, called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />Members present in addition to the Chair were Ms. Janice Harkey, Mr. Ed Hill <br />Mr. Carleton Hobbs, Mr. Walter Kiefer, Mr. Benjamin Lane, Mr. Dewey Moose, <br />and Mr. Aaron Ritchie. Attending from the Planning and Zoning Department <br />were Mr. Jonathan B. Marshall, Planning Services DirectOr,-and Ms. Phyllis C. <br />Carr. Also present was Mr. Richard Koch, Attorney for the Planning and ~oning <br />Commission. <br /> <br />After a correction was made to the Minutes, Mr. Kiefer MOTIONED, seconded <br />by Mr. Lane to approve this minutes as corrected. The vote was unanimous. <br /> <br />Old Business <br /> <br />The Chair introduced the first item of old business on the' Agenda, Hawick <br />Commons subdivision: <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />~pplicant: First Colony Group <br />Request: Preliminary Subdivision Plat Approval. <br /> <br />This was a request to the Cabarrus County Planning and Zoning <br />Commission from First Colony Group to have their subdivision <br />Hawick Commons approved preliminary. <br /> <br />Mr. Jonathan B. Marshall Planning Services Director, addressed <br />the Board presenting Hawick Commons preliminary plat stating <br />this subdivision should be considered in terms of our subdivision <br />and zoning regulations. Any negative findings must relate to those <br />two ordinances. Mr. Marshall said if there are things the Board is <br />not comfortable with, but you do not find something in the <br />regulations that address this, then you should direct staff at the end <br />of the meeting during the director'~ report where you would like to <br />see the regulations changed. <br /> <br /> Planning, Zoning, and Building Inspection <br />P. o.
