ICABARRUS COUNTYI NORTH CAROLINA Planning and Zoning Commission Minutes August 21, 1997 7:00 P.M. Mr. Ed Hill, The Chair, .called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Members present in addition to the Chair were Mr. Clyde Drye, Jr., Mr. Thomas Dwiggins, Mr. Carleton Hobbs, Mr. Walter Kiefer, Mr. Benjamin Lane, Mr. Dewey MoOse, Ir., Mr. Aaron Ritchie, and Mr. Ric Starnes. Attending from the Planning Services and Development Services Department were Mr. Jonathan B. Marshall, Planning Services Director, Mr. Michael L. Byrd, Transportation Planner, Mr. lay. Lowe, Zoning Inspector, and Ms. Saundra B. Adcock. Also attending was Mr. Richard Koch, Attorney for the Planning and Zoning Commission. There being no corrections to the July 17, 1997 Minutes, Mr. Lane MOTIONED, seconded by Mr. Dwiggins to approve the minutes as mailed. The vote was unanimous. The Chair introduced the first item on the Agenda, Function, Conditional Use Application 211(C)- Board of Adjustment Applicant: G. Carrell Brooks Request: Conditional Use Application 211(C) This was a request to the Cabarrus County Plavming and Zoning Commission from Mr. G. Carrell Brooks for a Conditional Use Permit (Property Owner - Mary C. Buchanan) to construct a brick building 26 square feet to house a remote switching facility to enhance and provide telephone and telecommunication services for residents in that area of Cabarrus County. The Chair then swore in Mr. Jay Lowe, Zoning Inspector. Mr. Jay Lowe, Zoning Inspector addressed the Board presenting Conditional Use Application 211(C), Staff Analysis, and a description of where' the facility will be located on the: property along with the surrounding property owners.
