NORTH CAROLINA <br /> <br />Planning and Zoning Commission Minutes <br />October 15I' 1998 <br />7:00 .P.M. <br /> <br />Mr. Ed Hill, Chairperson, called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.. Members <br />present in addition to the Chair were Mr. Clyde Drye, Mr. Thomas Dwiggins, <br />Mr. Carleton Hobbs, Ms. Martha Kiker, Mr. Dewey Moose, Mr. Aaron Ritchie <br />and Mr. Ric Starnes. Attending from the Development Services Division were <br />Mr. Michael K. Downs, Development Services Director, and Ms. Saundra B. <br />Adcock. Also attending.was Mr. Richard Koch, Attorney for the Planning and <br />Zoning Commission. <br /> <br />The Chair introduced the first item on the Agenda, Request for right-of-way <br />exception: <br /> <br />le <br /> <br />Applicant: Vance & Florence Lambert <br />Request: Right-of-way Exception Request <br /> <br />Mr. Michael Downs, Development Services Director, addressed the <br />Board presenting this right-of-way exception. He said there is an <br />existing house on the 24 acres site at this time. The Lambert's are <br />requesting a right-of-way exception down to the 20 feet that they <br />have. Mr. Downs said they have attempted on both sides to <br />acquire property with no luck. They are requesting .one additional <br />lot on the 24 acres so they can build one additional house. He said <br />that is the extent of their request. <br /> <br />There being no further comments, Mr. Dwiggins MOTIONED to <br />approve the request for right-of-way exception, seconded by Mr. <br />Drye.
