NORTH CAROLINA Planning and Zoning Commission Minutes~ February 18, :[999 7'00 P.M. Mr. Ed Hill, Chairperson, called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. IVlembers present in addition to the Chair were Mr. Thomas Dwiggins, Mr. Carleton. Hobbs, Mr. Walter Kiefer, Ms. Martha-Kiker, Mr. Dewey Moose, 3r., Mr. Aaron Ritchie and Mr. Ric Starnes. Attending from the Planning Services Division were Mr. 3onathan B. Marshall, Planning Services Director and Ms. Phyllis C. Carr. Also attending was Mr. Richard Koch, Attorney for the Planning and Zoning Commission. - The Chair stated to the Board, this is the first meeting of the new board year. He congratulated the new members that were reappointed. The Chair said it expected of every member to come prepared and apply the ordinance fairly and impartially. He said if anybOdy has a conflict or a problem to let him know. The Chair said the Board had a good productive year last year and he appreciated eve~one's hard work on the issues. He said he knows the Board will do the same good job this year. There being no corrections to the January 21, 1999 Minutes, Mr. Ritchie MOTIONED to approve the minutes as mailed, seconded by Mr. Hobbs. The vote was unanimous. The Chair introduced the first item on the Agenda, Exception Request' 1. Applicant: RequeSt: Sally Roberts Exception Request This was a request to the cabarrus County Planning and Zoning. Commission from Sally Roberts for an exception request from the Cabarrus County Subdivision Regulations. Mr. ]onathan B. Marshall, Planning Services Director, addressed the Board presenting this exception request stating this is a unique request and it has come before the Board before.
