Randall, Chairperson, called the meeting to order at <br />7:00 P.M. Members present in addition to the Chair were Mr. Alan <br />Allison, Mr. Robert Amos, Mr. Lewis Brownlow, Ms. Monica Davis, Mr. <br />Jerry Jordan, Mr. Edward Moose, Mr. Gerald Nichols and Mr. Robert <br />Smith. Attending from the Planning, Zoning, Building Inspection <br />Department were Mr. Gerald A. Newton, Director, Mr. Jonathan <br />Marshall, Planner II, Mr. Joseph Untz, Zoning Inspector and Ms. <br />Phyllis C. Carr. Also attending was Mr. William G. Hamby, Jr., <br />Attorney for the Planning and Zoning Commission. <br /> <br />The Chair thanked Mr. Edward Moose, the Vice Chair for his <br />willingness to fill in on her behalf. <br /> <br />There being no~-c°rrections to the June 17, 1993 Minutes, Mr. Smith <br />MOTIONED, seconded by Mr. Brownlow to approve the minutes as <br />submitted The vote was unanimous. <br /> <br />Oid Business <br /> <br />The Chair introduced the first item of old business on the Agenda, <br />Variance Request 0110 (V): <br /> <br />1. Applicant: Mr? Boyce Hathcock <br /> Request: Variance 0110 (V) <br /> <br />This was a request to the Cabarrus County Planning and <br />Zoning Commission from Mr. Boyce Hathcock, 4430 Highway <br />24-27, Midland, N.C. 28075, for a variance of the <br />Thoroughfare Overlay Zone (Section 3.11) where it <br />requires a fifteen foot landscaped buffer to be placed <br />across the front of the property. <br /> <br /> Planning and Zoning Department <br /> <br />P.O.
