Randall, Chairperson, called the meeting to order at <br />7-03 p.m. Members present in addition to the Chair were Mr. Alan <br />Allison, Mr. Robert AmOs, Ms. Janice Harkey, Dr. David Hartgen, Mr. <br />Jerry Jordan, Mr. Gerald Nichols and Mr. Robert Smith. Attending <br />from the Planning, Zoning and Building Inspection Department were <br />Mr. Gerald A. Newton, Director, Mr. Jonathan B. Marshall, Planner, <br />Mr. Michael K. Downs, Zoning Administrator, Mr. Joseph Unt.z, Zoning <br />Inspector, Mr. Jay Lowe, Zoning Technician. Also attending was Mr. <br />William G. Hamby, Jr., Attorney for the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission. <br /> <br />There being no corrections to the July 15, 1993 Minutes, Mr. Smith <br />MOTIONED, seconded by Mr. Jordan to approve the minUtes as mailed. <br />The vote was unanimous. <br /> <br />New Business <br /> <br />The Chair introduced the first item on the Agenda Preliminary <br />Subdivision Plat Approval- <br /> <br />1. Applicant- .Southern Land Equities <br /> ~ Request: Preliminary Subdivision Plat Approval <br /> <br />This was a request to the Cabarrus County Planning and <br />Zoning Commission from Southern Land Equities to have <br />their subdivision plat The Woodlands II approved <br />preliminary. <br /> <br />Mr. Jonathan Marshall, Staff Member, presented the <br />subdivision review to the Board stating that the staff <br />recommends approval of this phase contingent that the <br />final plat not be approved until the active recreation <br />area has been completed or guaranteed by letter of <br />credit. <br /> <br /> Planning and Zoning Department <br />P.O.
