NORTH CAROLINA <br /> <br />Cabarrus County Planning and Zoning Commission Minutes <br /> January 16, 1992 <br /> 7:00 P.M. <br /> <br />PUBLIC MEETING <br /> <br />Dr. Nancy Randall, Chairperson, called the meeting to order at 7:03 <br />p.m. Members present in addition to Chairperson Randall were Mr. <br />Robert Amos, Mr. Howard Hurlocker, Mr. Edward Moose, Mr. Kenneth <br />Olio-Mills, and Mr. Dennis Shultz. Attending from the Planning, <br />Zoning and Building Inspection Department were Mr. Gerald A. <br />Newton, Director, Mr. Jonathan Marshall and Ms. Phyllis C. Carr. <br /> <br />There being no corrections to the December 12, 1991 Minutes, Mr. <br />Moose MOTIONED, seconded by Mr. Hurlocker to approve the minutes as <br />mailed. The vote was unanimous. <br /> <br />Chairperson Randall stated to the Board that there would not be an <br />election of officers before the Board tonight because one of the at <br />large appointment positions has not been appointed or reappointed <br />by the Board of Commissioners and because there is not a.full board <br />present. She stated she would like to defer the election of <br />officers until they have a full board.. Chairperson Randall stated <br />that there is one new appointment to the Cabarrus County Planning <br />and Zoning Commission repr'esenting townships 3 and 4, Mr Alan <br />Allison. · <br /> <br />Mr. Newton stated to the Board that Chairperson Nancy Randall was <br />reappointed to the Planning and Zoning Commission for a 3 year term <br />by the Board of Commissioners. <br /> <br />Chairperson Randall introduced the first item on the Agenda, Final <br />Plat Approval - Dove Field - Maps 1 and 2. <br /> <br />1. Applicant: Firczak Corporation <br /> Request: Final Plat Approval <br /> <br />This was a request to the Cabarrus County Planning. and <br />Zoning Commission from Firczak Corporation to have their <br />subdivision Dove Field - Maps 1 and 2 plat approved <br />final. <br /> <br />Mr. Marshall, Staff Member, presented the subdivision <br />review to the commission stating that this subdivision <br />lies in a Kannapolis annexation area but that annexation <br />is being challenged at this point and there is a chance <br />that that date will move back if the challenge is <br />extended. The subdivision has been reviewed by the <br />Kannapolis Public Works. The roads are being done to <br />their standards so it will meet all the requirements of <br />the Kannapolis codes. <br /> <br /> <br />
