A lot of speculation has risen, a lot of rumors, a lot of
lies, and a lot of belittling the concept had occurred. The
developers were concerned that a very negative image was going out
and they wanted him to talk to one reporter and give some basic
information. The basic information being, yes they have talked to
our office and yes they are very interested in locating in Cabarrus
County. Further information will come the first week in August.
An article was put in the paper, the editors out of the Charlotte
office pulled old stories, and instead of redUcing the number of
questions, they actually increased the speculation and rumors. The
developers took it upon themselves to call the Concord Tribune and
make an announcement that they were in fact looking at the county.
They also gave the two names of individuals.

There are some items that needs to be discussed by the Planning and
Zoning Commission. In particular, movie studio complex is not a
line item in our zoning ordinance. The board needs to look at and
establish how a movie studio complex is to be zoned.

.Planning and Zoning Department
P.O.
