NORTH CAROLINA <br /> <br />Cabarrus County Planning and Zoning Commission Minutes <br />October 17, 1991 <br />7: 03 P.M. <br /> <br />PUBLIC MEETING <br /> <br />Dr. Nancy Randall, Chairperson, called the meeting to order at 7:03 <br />p.m. Members present in addition to Chairperson Randall were Mr. <br />Robert T. Amos, Mr. David T. Hartgen, Mr. Howard R. Hurlocker, Mr. <br />Edward S. Moose, Mr. Kenneth Olio-Mills, Ms. Katherine Stafford, <br />and Mr. Robert O. Smith. Attending from the Planning and Zoning <br />Department were Mr. Gerald A. Newton, Planning, Zoning and Building <br />Inspection Director, Mr. Jonathan B. Marshall, Planner, and Ms. <br />Phyllis C. Carr. <br /> <br />There being no corrections to the September 19, 1991 Minutes, Mr. <br />Hurlocker MOTIONED, seconded by Mr. Olio-Mills to approve the <br />minutes as mailed. The vote was unanimously. <br /> <br />Chairperson Randall stated to the citizens that there are no Board <br />of Adjustment functions coming before the Board tonight, but the <br />Board does have some Planning Board Functions. <br /> <br />Chairperson Randall stated to the citizens that the Planning and <br />Zoning Commission is an advisory committee and they only make <br />recommendations to the County Commissioners on rezonings. The <br />County Commissioners will discuss all issues on November 18, 1991; <br />at 7:00 P.M. and they will make all final decisions on rezonings. <br /> <br />Chairperson Randall introduced the first item on the Agenda, Zoning <br />Text Amendment: <br /> <br />1. Applicant: Cabarrus County Planning & Zoninq Staff <br /> Request: Deletinq Sections from Zoninq, Ordinance <br /> <br />This was a request to the Cabarrus County Planning and <br />Zoning Commission from the Cabarrus County Planning and <br />Zoning Staff to delete Sections 4.8, Exceptions Involving <br />Single-Family Detached Dwellings; 4.7, Exceptions <br />Involving Minor Divisions of PrOperty; and 1.9, Minimum <br />Lot Frontage for ARR, A-I, and A-2 zones from the <br />Cabarrus County Zoning Ordinance. <br /> <br />Mr. Jonathan Marshall, Staff Member, presented the zoning <br />text amendments to the Board. <br /> <br />Chairperson Randall opened the Public Hearing on Petition 91-04(t) <br />asking if anyone would like to speak for or against this petition. <br />There being no one to speak for or against the petition, <br /> <br /> <br />
