CA BARRUS COUN.TY <br /> PLANNING DEPARTMENT <br /> <br /> Post Office Box 707 <br /> <br />CONCORD, NORTH CAROLINA 28025 <br /> <br />February 21, 1990 <br /> <br />Minutes of the Cabarrus CoUnty Planning Board <br /> <br />T~he Cabarrus County Planning Board met in regular session on February 21, 1990, <br />at '7:0'0 P.M'., in the County Commissioners Room of the Cabarrus County Courthouse. <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />The meetin§ was called .to order by Chairman Ms. Nancy Randall. <br />Members present in addition to Ms. Randall were Mr. Howard <br />Hurlocker, Mr. Edward Moose and Mr. Louis Suther. Attending <br />from the Planning Department were Mr. Michael Byrd, .Mr. <br />Jonathan Marshall and Ms. Phyllis C. Carr. Also attending <br />was Mr. Gordon L. Belo, Attorney for the Planning Board. <br /> <br />Approval/ <br />Correcti on <br />of Minutes' <br /> <br />With there being no corrections to the January 17, 1990 <br />Minutes, they were approved as mailed. <br /> <br />Old Business Mr. Marshal-1 addressed the Board stating the County Commissioners <br /> at their February 19, 1990 meeting, approved two zoning atlas <br /> amendments; Petition 89-18, American Newland Association rezoning <br /> from ARR to PUD and Petition 90-01, Leona.rd and Rachel Stogner <br /> rezoning from A,I to C-4. <br /> <br />New Business Petition 90-02, was a request by Clyde M. Drye, Jr., off Merle <br />Clyde M Road, to have his property rezoned from I-X to A-2, to place <br />Drye, Jr. a 'mobile home on the property. <br />Rezoning <br />I-X to A-2' After discussion Mr. Moose MOTIONED, seconded by Mr. ~Hurlocker. <br /> to approve pe-tition 90-02. The vote was unanimous. <br /> <br />Arnold Suther Petition 90-04, was a req.uest by Mr. Arnold Suther, off Old <br />Rezoning Salisbury and Penninger Roads, to have his property rezoned <br />R-30.to ARR- from. R-30 to ARR, to add an addition onto the existing <br /> shop, with office space. <br /> <br />Mr. Arnold Suther addressed the Board on behalf of his <br />petition stating he would like for the Board to rezone his <br />property from R-30 to ARR so he could build an additional <br />building'onto his existing shop, with office space on his <br />property. <br /> <br />Others speaking in favor of Mr. Suther's rezoning were Mr. <br />Ken McAnulty, Chairman of New Gilead Cemetery-, ' Mr. Ed <br />Hatley, Mr. Knox Lovingood, Mr. Aaron Cook, an Elder for <br />New Gilead Church and Mr. Fred Suther. <br /> <br /> <br />
