CABARRUS COUNTY' PLANNING DEPARTMENT Post Office Box 707 CONCORD, NORTH CAROLINA 28025 April 18, 1990 Minutes of the Cabarrus County Planning Board The Cabarrus County Planning Board met in regular session on April at 7'00 P.M., Governmental Roll Call' Approval/ Correcti on of Minutes: IntroductiOn· Old Business' 18, 1990, in the County Commissioners Ch.amber in the Cabarrus County Center. The mee.ting was called to order by Chairman Ms. Nancy Randall. Members presen.t in addition to Ms. Randall were Mr. Howard Hurlocker, Mr. Edward Moose, and Mr. Louis Suther. Attending from the Planning and Zoning Department were Mr. Gerald A. Newton, Planning an~d Zoning Di.rector, Mr. Mi'ke Byrd and Ms. Phyllis C. Carr. Also attending were Mr. ~Gordon L. Belo, Attorney for the Board and' Mr. Mi~chael M. Ruffin, County Manager. With there being no corrections to the March 21, 1990 Minutes, Mr. Moose MOTIONED, seconded by Mr. Hurlocker to approve the minutes as mailed. The vote was unanimous. Mr. Michael M. Ruffin, County Manager for Cabarrus County introduced Mr. Gerald A. Newton, the new Planning and Zoning Director for Cabarrus County to the Planning Board. Chairman Randall also welcomed Mr. Newton and then turned to the first item of business. Mr. Byrd addre.ssed the Boa~rd about the County Commissioners decisions on rezoning petitions. Petition 90-02, Clyde Drye, rezoned from I-X to A-2, Commissioners approved 4-0. Petition 90-04, Arnold Suther, rezoned from R-30 to ARR, deferred to the A Commissioners meeting. Commissioners appro before the Commissioners. again on April 16, on another lot, Commissioners approved 3-2. Troy Cook, rezoned from I-1 to I-2, Commissioners approved 5-0. P~etition 90-06, Billy Plummer, ARR to R-30, tabled until the May 21, 1990 Commissioners meeting. Petition 90-07, Joe S. Plott, Sr., rezoned from R-15 to R-9, Commissioners approved 5-0. pril 2, 1990 ved 3-2; came 1990 to add Petition 90-05,
