NORTI~ CAROLINA PUBLIC MEETING Cabarrus County Planning Board Meeting November 28~ 1990 7'00 P.M. Ms. Nancy Randall~ Chairman, called the meeting to order at 7-00 P.M. Members present in addition to Chairman Randall were Mr. Howard PIurlocker, Mr. Edward Moose ~ and Mr. Gerald Nichols. Attending from the Planning and Zoning Department were Mr'. Gerald A. Newton~ Planning and Zoning Director~ Mr. Michael Downs, Zoning Administrator, Mr. Jonathan Marshall and Ms. Phyllis C. Cart. Also attending was ~v~r. Gordon L. Belo~ Attorney for the Planning Board. With there being no corrections to the Octob. er 17'~ 1990 Minutes, Mr. Moose MOTIONED, seconded by Mr. PIurlocker to approve the minutes as mailed The vote was 1/nan~mot/s . Chairman Randall introduced the first item on the Agenda Approv~it: Preliminary Plat llcant. Watson. Pr ;ert~e._s This was a request to the Cabarrus County Planning Board from Watson Properties to have their subdivision plat southbrook approved preliminary. Staff Member, Jonathan Marshall, presented the preliminary plat stating to the Board that Watson Properties would like to change their name to $outhbrook, which w~ll be on the f~nal subdivision plat. Mr. ~4arshall asked the Board to require a left turn lane on Zion Church Road at the entrance of 'the subdivision. There being no further comments ~ Mr. Hurlocker MOTIONED to approve thbrook subdivision plat preliminary contingent on turn lanes being and~ any other changes seconded by Mr Moose The vote was ~liE~ous. ~ ' Chairman Randall introd-uced the second item on the Agenda, Final Plat Approval· 2. ~: Southern Star Ca arru~_!r!Vestm, e!~t -I~!D~nc. , was a request to the Cabarrus County Planning Board from .ern Star/Cabarrus Investment, Inc. to have their subdivision Greene, II approved final. ~ Jonathan Marshall, presented the final plat to the Board that Southern Star/Cabarrus Investment, Inc. would, like to their road name in the subdivision from Greenside Drive to Court.
