CABARRUS COUNTY PLANNING DEPARTMENT Post Office Box 707 CONCORD, NORTH CAROLINA 28025 january 18, 1989 Minutes of the Cabarrus County Planning Board The Cabarrus County Planning Board met in reogular session on January 18, 1989, at 7:00 P.M., in the County Commissioners Rom of the Cabarrus County Courthouse. Mr. EWan stated to the citizens that the Planning Board is an advisory committee and they only make recommendations to the County Commissioners. Rol 1 Ca l 1: The meeting was called to order by Chairman Robert Ewan. Members present in addition to Mr. Ewan were Mr. Gerald Nic'hols, Mr'. Ronald Page, Ms. Nancy Randall and Mr. Louis Suther. Attending from the Planning Department were Mr. James F. Owens, Planning Director, Mr. Mike Byrd, Mr. Jonathan B. Marshall' and Ms. Phyllis C. Carr. Also attending was Mr. Gordon L. Belo, Attorney for the Planning.Board. Approval/ Correction of Minutes. The December 14, 1988 Minutes were approved as mailed. New Business Subdivision Ordinance Text Amen dme n t: Mr. Marshall addressed .the Ordinance Text Amendment. Board about this Subdivision 4.8.C.2, Water and Sewer Systems. Purpose of Change: To have number 2 read as follows:. 2. Community water systems shall also be.required to meet Cabarrus County specifications should the developer/ owner intend for the system to be connected to the County system and the complete system be maintained by the County. Where the complete system is intended to be connected to and maintained by the County,-the County reserves the right to inspect the installation of the system and require as built drawings.
