CA BARRUS COUNTY' PLANNING DEPARTMENT Post Office Box 707 CONCORD, NORTH CAROLINA 28025 May 17, 1989 Minutes of the Cabarrus County Planning Board The Cabarrus County' Planning Board met in regular session on May 17, 1989, at. 7'06 P.M.,,in the County Commissioners Room of the Cabarrus County Cou~rtho~use. Mr. Page stated to the citizens that the Planning' Board is an advisory committee and they only .make recommendations to the County Commissi-oners on rezonings. The County Commissioners will discuss all issues on June 19, 1989, at 7'00 P.M., and 'they will make all final decisions on rezOnings. Roll Call' The meeting was called to order by Chairman Ronald Page. Members present in addition to Mr. Page were Mr. 'Edward Moose, Mr. Gerald Nichols, Ms. Nancy Randall and 'Mr. Louis .S'uther. Attending from the Planning Department were Mr. James F. Owens, Planning Director, Mr. Mike Byrd, Mr. Jonathan B. Marshall, Ms. Sue G. Russell and Ms. Phyllis C. Carr. Approval/ Correction of Minutes' New Business Extension Rwquest- Wi th the.re being no corrections 'to the April 19, 1989 Minutes, Mr. Nichols MOTIONED, seconded by Ms.. Randall to approve the minutes as mailed. The vote was unanimous. Mr' Marshall addressed the Bo. ard stating that R.L. Wallace Construction Company, Inc. would like to request a 60 to 90 day extension of the paving deadline for Phase I of McManus Meadows Subdi vi s i on. Mr. Owens addressed the Board recommending that the Board give McManus Meadows Subdivision, Phase .I only a 60 day extensi on. After disucssion Ms. Randall MOTIONED, seconded by Mr. Nichols to extend a 60 day extension to the paving deadline on McManus Meadows 'Subdivi'sion, Phase I. The vote was unanimous. Roger Franklin Rezoning R-15 to C-3' Petition 89-06, was a request by Mr. Roger' Franklin, 891 Central Drive and Porter Street, to have his property rezoned from R-15 to C-3, to correspond with larger Portion of property presently zoned B-3 (City of Concord Zoning).
