CA BARRUS COUNTY' <br /> PLANNING DEPARTMENT <br /> Post Office Box 707 <br /> <br />CONCORD, NORTH CAROLINA 28025 <br /> <br />May 17, 1989 <br /> <br />Minutes of the Cabarrus <br /> <br />County Planning Board <br /> <br />The Cabarrus County' Planning Board met in regular session on May 17, 1989, at. <br />7'06 P.M.,,in the County Commissioners Room of the Cabarrus County Cou~rtho~use. <br /> <br />Mr. Page stated to the citizens that the Planning' Board is an advisory committee <br />and they only .make recommendations to the County Commissi-oners on rezonings. <br />The County Commissioners will discuss all issues on June 19, 1989, at 7'00 P.M., <br />and 'they will make all final decisions on rezOnings. <br /> <br />Roll Call' <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Chairman Ronald Page. <br />Members present in addition to Mr. Page were Mr. 'Edward <br />Moose, Mr. Gerald Nichols, Ms. Nancy Randall and 'Mr. <br />Louis .S'uther. Attending from the Planning Department <br />were Mr. James F. Owens, Planning Director, Mr. Mike <br />Byrd, Mr. Jonathan B. Marshall, Ms. Sue G. Russell and <br />Ms. Phyllis C. Carr. <br /> <br />Approval/ <br />Correction of <br />Minutes' <br /> <br />New Business <br />Extension <br />Rwquest- <br /> <br />Wi th the.re being no corrections 'to the April 19, 1989 <br />Minutes, Mr. Nichols MOTIONED, seconded by Ms.. Randall <br />to approve the minutes as mailed. The vote was unanimous. <br /> <br />Mr' Marshall addressed the Bo. ard stating that R.L. Wallace <br />Construction Company, Inc. would like to request a 60 to <br />90 day extension of the paving deadline for Phase I of <br />McManus Meadows Subdi vi s i on. <br /> <br />Mr. Owens addressed the Board recommending that the Board <br />give McManus Meadows Subdivision, Phase .I only a 60 <br />day extensi on. <br /> <br />After disucssion Ms. Randall MOTIONED, seconded by <br />Mr. Nichols to extend a 60 day extension to the paving <br />deadline on McManus Meadows 'Subdivi'sion, Phase I. The <br />vote was unanimous. <br /> <br />Roger Franklin <br />Rezoning <br />R-15 to C-3' <br /> <br />Petition 89-06, was a request by Mr. Roger' Franklin, 891 <br />Central Drive and Porter Street, to have his property rezoned <br />from R-15 to C-3, to correspond with larger Portion of <br />property presently zoned B-3 (City of Concord Zoning). <br /> <br /> <br />
