C A BARRUS COUNTY <br /> PLANNING DEPARTMENT <br /> Post Office Box· 707 <br />CONCORD, NORTH CAROLINA 28025 <br /> <br />December 14, 1988 <br />Minutes of the Cabarrus County Planning Board <br /> <br />The Cabarrus County Planning Board met in regular session on December 14, <br />at 7:00 P.M., <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />Approval/Correction <br />of Minutes' <br /> <br />Linnie & Ora <br />Spears <br />Rezoning <br />R-40 to ARR: <br /> <br /> 1988, <br />in the County Commissioners Room of the Cabarrus County Courthouse. <br /> The meeting was called to order by Chairman Robert Ewan. <br /> Members present in addition to Mr. Ewan were Mr'. Ronald <br /> Pa'ge, Ms. Nancy Randall and Mr. Louis Suther. Attending <br /> from the Planning Department were Mr. james' F. Owens, <br /> Planning Director, Mr. Mike Byrd, Mr.-Jonathan B. Marshall <br /> and Ms. Phyllis C. Carr. Also attending was Mr. Gordon L. <br /> Belo, Attorney for the Planning Board. <br /> Mr. Ewan stated to the citiz~e'ns that the Planning .Board <br /> is an advisory committee and they only make recommendations <br /> to the County Commissioners on rezonings. The County <br /> Commissioners will discuss all i'ssues on January 16, 1989, <br /> at'7:00 P.M., and they will make all final decision on <br /> rezonings. <br /> With there being no corrections to the November 16 1988 <br /> Minutes, Mr. Page MOTIONED, seconded by Ms. Randall to <br /> approve the minutes as mailed. The vote was unanimous. <br /> Petition 88-19, was a request by Linnie and Ora Spears, <br /> Off Trinity Church Road at Afton Run Creek, to have <br /> their property rezoned from R-40 to ARR, to continue to <br /> Use the land for a mobile home. <br /> Ms. Spears addressed the Board about this petition, <br /> stating that she and her husband had-no idea .that they <br /> could not put another mobile home on their property <br /> once it was removed. Ms. Spears asked the Board to <br /> give them permission to put another mobile home on <br /> their .property. <br /> Mr. Owens also addressed the Board about this petition. <br /> Mr. Belo, Attorney for the Board stated to Ms. Spears <br /> that he would talk with Mr. F.E. Isenhour, Zoning <br /> Administrator about his decision. If Mr. Isenhour decision <br /> was still the same, Mr. Belo stated to Ms. Spears that <br /> she could appeal Mr. Isenhour's decision to the Board <br /> of Adjustment. <br /> <br /> <br />
