CABARRUS COUNTY <br /> <br /> PLANNING DEPARTMENT. <br /> <br />Post Office Box 707 <br />CONCORD, NORTH CAROLINA 28025 <br /> <br />August 31, 1987 <br /> <br />Minutes of the Cabarrus County Planning Board/Board of Adjustment <br /> <br />The Cabarrus County Planning Board and Cabarrus County Board of Adjustment met <br />in a joint meeting to'discuss issues and duties of both Boards on August 31, 1'987, <br />at 7:10 p.m., in the Jury Room of the Cabarrus County Courthouse. <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Mr. LarrY Loving, C'hairman <br />of the Cabarrus County Planning Board. Members present on <br />the Planning Board were Mr. Robert Ewan, Mr. Ronald Page, <br />Mr. Gerald Nichols and Mr. Luther Suther. Attending from' <br />the Planning Department were Mr. James F. OWens, Planning <br />Director, Mr.' Mike Byrd and Mr. Phillip L. Kingsland. <br /> <br />Members present on the Board of Adjustment were Mr. James. Weaks, <br />Mr. Pete Partridge, Ms. Connie Durham and'Mr. Dennis Shultz. <br />Attending from the Zoning Office were Mr. F.E. Isenhour, <br />Zoning Administrator and Mr. Mike Downs. <br /> <br />Members of t.he Planning Board were in-troduced to the Board <br />of Adjustment by Mr. James F. Owens, Planning Director. <br />Members of the Board of Adjustment were introduced to the <br />Planning' Board by Mr. F.E. Mobile Home Subdivision Definition. <br /> <br />Mr. Owens addressed the Board about this mobile home subdivision <br />definition. After discussion Mr. Ewan MOTIONED, seconded by <br />Mr. Nichols to approve this mobile home subdivision definition. <br />The vote was unanimous. <br /> <br />Chri sty Woods <br />Subdivision' <br /> <br />Mr. Kingsland presented to the Board Christy Woods Subdivision <br />for approval. After discussion Mr. Page MOTIONED, seconded by <br />Mr. Suther to approve Christy Woods Subdivision subject to <br />the average lot width being ~corrected on lots 4 and 5 and on <br />approval by the County Commissioners of previous text <br />amendment. The vote was unanimous. <br /> <br />Mr. F.E. Isenhour introduced members of the staff to the Boards. <br /> <br />Mr. Owens explained the role of the Planning Board. Mr. Isenhour <br />explained the role of the Board of Adjustment. Mr. Kingsland <br />explained the role of the Planning Staff and Mr. Downs explained <br />the role of the Zoning Staff. <br /> <br /> <br />
