CABARRUS COUNTY' <br /> PLANNING DEPARTMENT <br /> <br /> Post Office Box 707 <br /> <br />CONCORD, NORTH CAROLINA 28025 <br /> <br />January 9, 1985 <br /> <br />Minutes of~ the Cabarrus <br /> <br />County Planning Board Meeting <br /> <br />The Cabarrus County Planning Board met in regular session, on January 9, 1985, at <br />7:00 p.m. in the County Commissioners Room of the Cabarrus County Courthouse. <br /> <br />Roll Call- <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by 'Chairman, F.A. "Jack" <br />Rankin, Jr. at 7-00 p.m. Members present in addition to <br />Mr. Rankin were, Mr, R.M. Faggart, Jr., Ms. Helene Hilger, <br />Mr. Larry Loving and Mr. Joe Ridenhour. Attending from the <br />Planning Department were~ Mr. Thomas. B. Robinson, Planning <br />Director, Mr James F. Owens, Assistant Planning Director <br />and Ms. Phyllis C. Carr, Secretary to the Board. Also present. <br />was Mr. Gordon L. Belo, Attorney for the Planning Board. <br /> <br />Approval of <br />Minutes- <br /> <br />Ms. Hilger MOTIONED, seconded by 'Mr. Loving to approve the <br />December 12, 1984 mi'nu~tes after correction of the typographical <br />errors. The vote was unanimous. <br /> <br />Mr. Ridenhour MOTIONED, seconded by Mr. Faggart to approve the <br />December 19, 1984 minutes wi th 'the fol lowing corrections. <br />Medlin Crossing, Phase II, Mr. Loving's mot ion was to approve <br />Medlin Crossing, Phase II preliminary plat and grant permits <br />on 9 lots of the 43 lots facing Midlake Avenue and thee 15 <br />lots fronting Midlake Avenue. <br /> <br />Zemosa Acres, <br />Zemosa Acres, <br />preliminary. <br /> <br />Phase III, Mr. Ridenhour's motion was to approve <br />Phase III, Section I & II final instead of <br /> <br />Zoning Text Amendment should have read- Mr. Owens addressed <br />the Board stating that the Midland Community Association filed <br />this petition on September 10., 1984 to disallow the extraction <br />of earth products in an ARR and R-40 zone, instead of as an <br />ARR and R-40 zone. The vote was unanimous. <br /> <br />Old Business <br />Midl and Commun i ty <br />Association- <br /> <br />Mr. Rankin stated to the Board and the citizens that the County <br />Commission.ers failed to adopt the definition of earth products. <br /> <br />Mr. Dennis Shultz addressed the Board requesting that the Board <br />continue to table the text amendment extraction of earth products <br />(petition 84-05) until a definition of earth products is <br />determi ned upon. <br /> <br />Mr. Wesley Grant addressed the Board stating that the Board should <br />deny petition 84-05 zoning text amendment. <br /> <br />Mr. Phil Carroll also stated to thee Board that the zoning text <br />amendment should be rejected. <br /> <br /> <br />
