Page to the Planning <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Chairman F.A. "Jack" <br />Rankin, Jr. Members present in addition to Mr' Rankin <br />were Mr..R.M. Faggart, Jr., and Mr. Larry Loving. Attending <br />from the Planning ~partment were Mr. Thomas B. Robinson, <br />Planning Director, Mr. James F. Owens, Assistant Plan~ing <br />Director, Mr. Michael -L. Byrd and Ms. 'Phyllis C, Carr. <br />Also attending was Mr. Gordon L. Be-lo, Attorney for the <br />Planning Board and members of the Kannapolis Planning Board. <br /> <br />With no corrections to the July 10, 1985 Minutes, Mr. Loving <br />MOTIONED, seconded by Mr. Faggart to approve the minutes as <br />mailed. The vote was unanimous. <br /> <br />With no corrections to the July 17, 1985 Minutes, Mr. <br />Loving MOTIONED, seconded by Mr. Faggart to approve the <br />minutes as mailed. The vote was unanimous. <br /> <br />New Bus iness <br />C.L. Mills <br />Rezoning <br />C-1 to C-3: <br /> <br />Ronald & Patricia <br />Page <br />Rezoning <br />RMF-7 to I-1: <br /> <br />Petition 85-40, was a request by Mr. C.L. Mills to have <br />his property on South Main Street rezoned from C-1 to C-3, <br />to allow construction of a retail cl~othing store. <br /> <br />After discussion Mr. Faggart MOTIONED, seconded by Mr. <br />Loving to approve petition 85-40. The vote was unanimous. <br /> <br />Petit~i.on 85-41, was a request by Ronald & Patricia Page <br />to have their property on lr~nity Church' Road rezoned from <br />R~F-7 to I-1, to build a cosmetic manufacturing facility. <br /> <br />Mr. Guy Alexander. Todd spoke to the Board in opposition, <br />stating he was concerned about whether or not chemicals' <br />are involved wi th these cosmetics. <br /> <br />Ms. Roxanne Hunter spoke to the Board in opposition,'stating <br />she would like some discussion as to what was going on the <br />property-. <br /> <br /> <br />
