CABARRUS COUNTY <br />NORTH CAROLINA <br /> <br />Planning and Zoning Commission Minutes <br />June 21, 2001 <br />7:00 P.M. <br /> <br />Mr. Carleton Hobbs, Chairperson, called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. <br />Members present in addition to the Chair were Mr. Clyde Drye, Jr., Mr. Thomas <br />Dwiggins, Mr. Carl Hill, Ms. Miki Lingafelt, Mr. Dewey Moose, Jr., Mr. Aaron <br />Ritchie and Mr. J. Marc Wilder. Attending from the Planning and Development <br />Services Division were Mr. Jonathan B. Marshall, Planning Services Director, Ms. <br />Kelly Sifford, Senior Planner, and Ms. Saundra Adcock. Also attending was Mr. <br />Richard Koch, Attorney for the Planning and Zoning Commission. <br /> <br />There being no corrections to the May 17, 2001 Minutes, Mr. Drye MOTIONED, <br />seconded by Mr. Hill to approve the minutes as mailed. The vote was <br />unanimous. <br /> <br />Old Business <br /> <br />The Chair introduced the first item on the Agenda, Preliminary Subdivision Plat <br />Approval, Petition C01-02(S). <br /> <br />Applicant: Pier ProtzTerrant <br />Request: Preliminary Subdivision Plat Approval <br /> <br />This was a request to the Cabarrus County Planning and Zoning <br />Commission from Pier Protz Terrant to have his subdivision plat LPT <br />Investments, LLC, approved preliminary. <br /> <br />Mr. Jonathan Marshall, Planning Director, stated to the Board that <br />Saundra Adcock was sitting in for Phyllis Carr this evening and you <br />can hold Board of Adjustment items as long as you have a quorum. <br />He said the vote is still 80% of membership so the petitioner can <br />go before the Board but he would have to have a 7 to 0 vote as <br />opposed to 8 - 1 or 9 - 1 if the full membership was here. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
