MINUTES <br />SUPERVISOR'S MEETING <br />CABARRUS SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT <br />Meeting No. 22 <br />TIME: November 2, 1964 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. <br />PLACE: Office of District Conservationist <br />PRESENT: Supervisors: L. D. Coltrane, III, Chairman <br />J. Lewis Patterson, Vice Chairman <br />S. I. Parker, Secretary- Treasurer <br />Baker Brooks <br />S. W. Colerider, Jr. <br />1. Minutes were read and approved of Meeting No. 21. <br />2. A motion was made, seconded and passed approving the payment of a <br />bill for $20.00 from Edgar Readling for photographic work. These <br />photographs show flooding conditions in the county, and are to be used <br />in connection with the application being made for aid on the watershed <br />improvement program. <br />3. Treasurers reports: Cash in Bank 10 -1 -64 $627.08 <br />Paid W. H. Cato $ 6.00 <br />Paid Edgar Readling 20.00 <br />Total Disbursements 26.00 <br />Bank balance 11 -2 -64 $601.08 <br />4. The District Conservationist reported the accomplishments of his <br />office for the month of October as follows: <br />4 Basic Farm Plans delivered <br />3 New Cooperators signed agreements <br />8 Sets of land use and land capability maps received from Cartographic <br />division <br />Bream fingerlings stocked in 20 county fish ponds <br />1 Thirty -nine acre field surveyed for parallel strip cropping rotation <br />8 Radio programs presented <br />No television program presented due to conflict with area personnel <br />meeting. <br />5. J. Lewis Patterson reported that he, John S. Smith, District Con- <br />servationist; S. I. Parker, Supervisor; and Smoot Lyles, County Comm- <br />issioner, attended Association Area 3 rally at Asheboro, N. C., October <br />23, 1964. He reported that it was a very instructive meeting, and he <br />especially commended the demonstration presented by the 4 -H team from <br />Chatham County. <br />
