MINUTES SUPERVISOR'S MEETING CABARRUS SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT MEETING NO. 26 TIME: February 8, 1965 8:30 a.m. to 10:10 a.m. PLACE: Office of District Conservationist PRESENT: Supervisors: L. D. Coltrane, III, Chairman J. Lewis Patterson, Vice Chairman S. I. Parker, Secretary- Treasurer Baker Brooks S. W. Colerider, Jr. Associate Supervisors: Clyde D. Cook W. E. Cook C. C. Rimer J. Archie Smith Absent: J. L. Cochran Marvin Smith 1. Minutes of last meeting were read and approved. 2. The Chairman reported that the following Supervisors attended the annual meeting of the N. C. Association of Soil and Water Districts held at Wrightsville Beach, January 11 -13, 1965: L. D. Coltrane, III S. W. Colerider, Jr. Baker Brooks S. I. Parker John S. Smith, District Conservationist also attended. The Chair - man, gave a full report of the activities of the meeting, and expressed the opinion that many Supervisors from the entire state derived many benefits from the discussions which took place during the various sessions of the meeting. Members of the Cabarrus delegation took part in different phases of the program. Mr. Cole- rider served on $le Wildlife and Recreation Committee, Mr. Coltrane presented the feature tape recording and picture slides entitled "Water on the Moon ", and Mr. Parker served as Chairman of the Finance Committee. 3. The Chairman gave a report on the trip held January 26, 1965, which was a FIELD EXAMINATION OF THE PROPOSED WATERSHED. Fifty six interested persons made the trip on two Carolina Trailway Busses, which were equipped with public address systems. Stops were made at thirty -two points on the watershed where could be seen the need of work for improvement. The following is a list of interested persons who made the trip:
