MINUTES <br />SUPERVISOR'S MEETING <br />CABARRUS SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT <br />MEETING NO. 26 <br />TIME: February 8, 1965 8:30 a.m. to 10:10 a.m. <br />PLACE: Office of District Conservationist <br />PRESENT: Supervisors: L. D. Coltrane, III, Chairman <br />J. Lewis Patterson, Vice Chairman <br />S. I. Parker, Secretary- Treasurer <br />Baker Brooks <br />S. W. Colerider, Jr. <br />Associate Supervisors: <br />Clyde D. Cook <br />W. E. Cook <br />C. C. Rimer <br />J. Archie Smith <br />Absent: J. L. Cochran <br />Marvin Smith <br />1. Minutes of last meeting were read and approved. <br />2. The Chairman reported that the following Supervisors attended the <br />annual meeting of the N. C. Association of Soil and Water Districts <br />held at Wrightsville Beach, January 11 -13, 1965: <br />L. D. Coltrane, III <br />S. W. Colerider, Jr. <br />Baker Brooks <br />S. I. Parker <br />John S. Smith, District Conservationist also attended. The Chair - <br />man, gave a full report of the activities of the meeting, and <br />expressed the opinion that many Supervisors from the entire state <br />derived many benefits from the discussions which took place during <br />the various sessions of the meeting. Members of the Cabarrus <br />delegation took part in different phases of the program. Mr. Cole- <br />rider served on $le Wildlife and Recreation Committee, Mr. Coltrane <br />presented the feature tape recording and picture slides entitled <br />"Water on the Moon ", and Mr. Parker served as Chairman of the <br />Finance Committee. <br />3. The Chairman gave a report on the trip held January 26, 1965, which <br />was a FIELD EXAMINATION OF THE PROPOSED WATERSHED. Fifty six <br />interested persons made the trip on two Carolina Trailway Busses, <br />which were equipped with public address systems. Stops were made <br />at thirty -two points on the watershed where could be seen the need <br />of work for improvement. The following is a list of interested <br />persons who made the trip: <br />
