Cook, in hospital <br />J. L. Cochran <br />C. C. Rimer <br />1. Minutes of last meeting were read and approved. <br />2. Chairmars Report: <br />a. Notice had been received from Bryce Younts of the appointments of <br />L. D. Coltrane, III and S. W. Colerider, Jr. as Supervisors for <br />a three year term beginning January 1, 1966. <br />b. A letter had been received stating that Mr. Baker Brooks is to <br />receive an award at the Annual Meeting in Asheville, N. C., for <br />twenty years of service as a Supervisor of Cabarrus District. <br />c. An application for a MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING between Cabarrus <br />Soil and Water Conservation District and the United States Depart- <br />ment of Agriculture had been made by letter dated December 24, <br />1965. <br />3. The following resolution was passed by a unanimous vote: <br />BE IT RESOLVED: That we express the thanks of the members of this <br />Board to Mr. Robert E. Nash, Jr., member of the staff <br />of the Concord Tribune, for his cooperation and <br />assistance in writing and editing the text of our <br />recently published booklet entitled "CONSERVATION- - <br />A CHALLENGE TO CABARRUS", which is our Long Range <br />Work Program; and that Mr. Nash be paid $100.00 for <br />his professional services. <br />
