C. Rimer Absent: J. Archie Smith J. Lewis Patterson, Marvin J. Smith 1. Minutes of previous meeting were read and approved with correction. 2. Chairman Coltrane read a letter which he received from Mr. J. P. Kuykendall, State Conservationist, which was a covering letter accompanying the return of our MEMORANDUM of UNDERSTANDING recently signed by the U. S. Secretary of Agriculture. Mr. Kuykendall's letter was appreciated by Board, and a copy,pf it was - ordered attached to the Minutes of this meeting. 3. The Chairman read a letter from Mr. J. A. (Jack) Smith, Admini- strative Officer, Soil & Water Conservation Committee, which informed that the 1966 Resources Conservation Workshop would be held at N. C. State University June 13-17, 1966. After discussion the following resolution was passed: Resolved: That the Cabarrus Soil and Water Conservation District sponsor the attendance of a young man from the District at the 1966 Resources Conservation Workshop, under the same plans, arrangements, and conditions existed for the 1965 Workshop. 4. The Chairman announced the reappointment, by the State Committee, of our Associate Supervisors, all six of whom were present as usual. The Chairman thanked them for their regular attendance during the past year, and also for their constructive advice and aid in helping the Board solve its problems.
