The meeting was <br />then called to order and proceeded as a regular monthly meeting. <br />1. Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. <br />2. Report of Chairman: <br />a. The Chairman read a letter from Mr. Jack Smith acknowledging <br />receipt of the report of accomplishments achieved in the <br />district for the period of eighteen months prior to July 1, 1966. <br />Mr. Smith commended the Board for the work accomplished during <br />the period. The Chairman stated that he, also, had received <br />a letter from Mr. J. P. Kuykendall, which not -_was <br />complimentary of the report, but stressed the importance of <br />soil and water conservation and suggested that certain phases <br />of the work need special attention. The suggestions will be <br />given consideration at future meetings of the Board. <br />
