Cochran <br />Baker Brooks C. C. Rimer <br />J. Archie Smith <br />1. J. Lewis Patterson, who was re- elected a Supervisor in December, <br />was administered the oath of office. <br />2. As Board Chairman L. D. Coltrane, III was not present, J. Lewis <br />Patterson, Vice Chairman, presided over the meeting. <br />3. Election of officers: <br />On motion duly passed the officers who served in 1966 were elected <br />to serve during the year 1967. They are: L. D. Coltrane, III, <br />Chairman; J. Lewis Patterson, Vice Chairman; Samuel I. Parker, <br />Secretary- Treasurer. <br />4. Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. <br />5. Hugh D. Price gave a full report of the activities of the Annual <br />State Convention held in_Raleigh January 9 -11. The Cabarrus District <br />was represented by L. D. Coltrane, III, S. I. Parker and Hugh D. <br />Price. <br />6. Treasurer's Report: <br />12 -1 -66 Cash in Bank $1,283.79 <br />12 -2 -66 Paid Concord Tribune 3.84 <br />1 -1 -67 Cash in Bank 1,279.95 <br />$1,283.79 $1,283.79 <br />7. Conservationist's Report of accomplishments for month of December: <br />6 Radio Programs <br />4 New Cooperators (590 Acres) <br />47 Cooperators Assisted <br />3 Cooperators worked on farm plans <br />8. The matter was thoroughly discussed of recommending to our Board <br />of County Commissioners a list of names of qualified citizens <br />for appointment as Trustees for the Coddle - Coldwater -Dutch Buffalo <br />Creeks Watershed. The capability for the job of several landowners, <br />who live on the three divisions of the watershed, were discussed. <br />These persons, who were considered favorably for the job, will be <br />given further consideration by the Supervisors before any <br />recommendations are made to the County Commissioners. <br />
