MINUTES SUPERVISORS MEETING CABARRUS SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT MEETING NO. 52 TIME: January 17, 1967 PLACE: District Office 7:30 p.m. to 9:10 p.m. PRESENT: Supervisors: Associate Supervisors: Others: J. J. Lewis Patterson, who was re- elected a Supervisor in December, was administered the oath of office. 2. As Board Chairman L. D. Coltrane, III was not present, J. Lewis Patterson, Vice Chairman, presided over the meeting. 3. Election of officers: On motion duly passed the officers who served in 1966 were elected to serve during the year 1967. They are: L. D. Coltrane, III, Chairman; J. Lewis Patterson, Vice Chairman; Samuel I. Parker, Secretary- Treasurer. 4. Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. 5. Hugh D. Price gave a full report of the activities of the Annual State Convention held in_Raleigh January 9 -11. The Cabarrus District was represented by L. D. Coltrane, III, S. I. Parker and Hugh D. Conservationist's Report of accomplishments for month of December: 6 Radio Programs 4 New Cooperators (590 Acres) 47 Cooperators Assisted 3 Cooperators worked on farm plans 8. The matter was thoroughly discussed of recommending to our Board of County Commissioners a list of names of qualified citizens for appointment as Trustees for the Coddle - Coldwater -Dutch Buffalo Creeks Watershed. The capability for the job of several landowners, who live on the three divisions of the watershed, were discussed. These persons, who were considered favorably for the job, will be given further consideration by the Supervisors before any recommendations are made to the County Commissioners.
