This was a SPECIAL MEETING called for the purpose of informing <br />heads of local governments as to what ha&,been accomplished to <br />date, and what work needs to be done now, and in the future, <br />in order to complete and maintain the Coddle - Coldwater -Dutch Buffalo <br />Creeks Watershed Improvement Program. <br />2. Chairman Coltrane, from a previously well prepared outline, told <br />of the progress made on the watershed project, from the time when <br />it was first started until todate. He emphasized that much of <br />the good accomplished so far was due to the interest, the <br />assistance, and the wise guidance given to the project by officersand <br />employees of the State SCS Office. He , also, told of the <br />cooperation of local organizations, especially the Board of County <br />Commissioners, from which he read resolutions that had been <br />adopted, supporting the watershed project . He spoke of meetings <br />held with landowners who live on each of the three watersheds <br />involved. He gave detailed information required in the Application <br />for Assistance filed with the U. S. Department of Agriculture. He <br />explained the requirements for the establishment of a Legal <br />Organization administered by three Trustees to be appointed by the <br />county commissioners. These are only a few of the items covered. <br />He made a well planned, full report, which was well received by the <br />entire audience. <br />3. A request was made by a county commissioner that our Board of <br />Supervisors recommend to the Board of County Commissioners the <br />names of interested citizens who would accept the responsibility, <br />and do a good job, if appointed as Trustees of the Coddle-Coldwater- <br />Dutch Buffalo Creeks Watershed Improvement Commission <br />
