Smith <br />Absent: <br />Baker Brooks <br />1. Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved with the correct- <br />ion that Lewis W. Dameron was present at the meeting of Cabarrus <br />County Watershed Improvement Commissioners held February 9, 1967. <br />2. A resolution was passed directing the Secretary to write a letter <br />to the widow of our recently deceased Associate Supervisor, Clyde <br />D. Cook, expressing the sentiments of the members of this Board in <br />the loss of our good friend and her devoted husband. <br />3. The Chairman reported: <br />a. Conservationist's report of accomplishments for the month of February: <br />8 Radio Programs (Coverage has been expanded to WPEG -FM, this is <br />in addition to WEGO and WGTL) <br />2 New Cooperators (66 acres) <br />90 Cooperators Assisted <br />59 Visits (this year) <br />3 Farm Plans Completed (641 acres) <br />2 Consultive Services <br />254 Acres of land adequately treated <br />He reported onr ;a field trip which he recently made with the Cabarrus <br />County Watershed Improvement Commissioners to Iredell County. The <br />purpose of the trip was to inspect and study watershed structures in <br />operation in that area. <br />
