MINUTES <br />SUPERVISORS MEETING <br />CABARRUS SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT <br />MEETING NO. 60 SPECIAL MEETING <br />TIME: May 31, 1967 1:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. <br />PLACE: District Office and Colerider Cabin <br />PRESENT: Supervisors; Others: <br />L. This meeting of the Supervisors was called by Chairman Coltrane <br />for the purpose of discussing with Mr. Elmer Graham the importance <br />of controlling the flood waters of Coldwater Creek, and also, to <br />try to work out a feasible plan to solve the problem. This is a <br />most urgent matter since the building of Retaining Structure 12 <br />has been abandoned in watershed planning of Coldwater Creek, after <br />N. C. Water Resources Commission approved plans of Kannapolis <br />Sanitary District to use the banks of Coldwater Creek for the <br />location of a sewer line. <br />2. After a thorough discussion of the problem, all those present <br />visited and inspected Lake Fisher Dam, Lake Concord Dam, and a <br />large part of the northern section of the Coldwater Creek Watershed. <br />3. CONCLUSION: It was decided by Mr. Graham that <br />few days, would gather data pertaining to the <br />Government decisions concerning certain polic <br />information in hand he will return to Concord <br />the problem with our Board of Supervisors and <br />parties. <br />4.
