Minutes <br />of <br />the last meeting were read,, and approved. <br />2. The Chairman, with appropriate remarks, welcomed to our Board the <br />recently appointed member, Len B. Brafford, Associate Supervisor, <br />who will fill the vacancy caused by the death of Clyde D. Cook. <br />3. Hugh D. Price introduced Mrs. Eyvonne McDaniel, who has been <br />employed on a part time basis as Secretary to the District <br />Conservationist. This arrangement will make it possible for the <br />District Conservationist and his Assistant to spend more of <br />their time in the field where the services, for which they were <br />trained, will be of more value than performing detail office work, <br />to landowners of the District in the conservation of soil and water. <br />Mrs. McDaniels first day of employment on this new job was <br />July 5, 1967. <br />4. Several problems concerning our Watershed Project were discussed <br />at length. <br />Mr. Dameron read a letter from Mr. Elmer Graham. The members of <br />the Board expressed their thanks and gratitude for the efforts of <br />Mr. Graham in helping to solve their problems. <br />Also, Mr. Dameron stated that Mr. J. P. Kykendall had called him <br />over telephone and had informed him that arrangements had been <br />made for two representatives from the ENGINEERING & WATERSHED <br />PLANNING BOARD to visit the Cabarrus District on Monday, July 24, <br />for the purpose of investigating problems that recently have arisen <br />on the Coldwater Creek Watershed. <br />5.
