Minutes of last meeting were read and approved. <br />Others: <br />Hugh D. Price <br />Eyvonne McDaniel <br />2. Communications: <br />a. A letter from State Office dated 7/13/67 was read. It emphasized the <br />importance of Supervisors declaring PAID MEETINGS, and recording same in <br />minutes. <br />b. A letter from State Office dated 7/13/67 was read. It gave information that <br />Supervisors travel and per diem pay for the year 1967 -1968 would be paid on <br />the same basis as for the past fiscal year. <br />c. A letter from the State Office dated 7/27/67 was read. It acknowledged <br />receipt of our Annual Report. <br />3. Chairman's Report: <br />a. Chairman Coltrane reported on a Dutch dinner held at Hotel Concord July 24, <br />1967. Those present were: <br />Elmer Graham, State Watershed Leader <br />Charlie Moore, Engineering & Watershed Planning Unit (Fort Worth) <br />Norman Leach, Engineering & Watershed Planning Unit (Fort Worth) <br />Lonnie F. Thompson, Watershed Planning Party Leader <br />George Sherman, State Conservation Engineer <br />Lewis W. Dameron, Area 5, Conservationist <br />Hugh D. Price, District Conservationist <br />C. William Cook, Cabarrus County Watershed Commissioner <br />Carl O. Overcash, Cabarrus County Watershed Commissioner <br />Fred H. Harkey, Cabarrus County Watershed Commissioner <br />Sam W. Colerider, Supervisor <br />L. D. Coltrane, 111, Supervisor <br />J. Lewis Patterson, Supervisor <br />S. I. Parker,;S#ervisor, <br />The representatives from the State Office and the E&WPU, with Mr. Dameron <br />and Mr. Price had spent the day visiting and checking points of interest on <br />the Coldwater Creek Watershed, which are involved in the problems that have <br />arisen because of the elimination of Structure 12 from the Watershed improvements <br />plans. <br />The meeting was called by Mr. Dameron. The purpose of the meeting was for the <br />visitors to inform the local people what government support could be expected, <br />and what could not be expected in finances to prevent flooding of Coldwater <br />Creek. <br />
