Minutes of last meeting were read and approved. Others: Hugh D. Price Eyvonne McDaniel 2. Communications: a. A letter from State Office dated 7/13/67 was read. It emphasized the importance of Supervisors declaring PAID MEETINGS, and recording same in minutes. b. A letter from State Office dated 7/13/67 was read. It gave information that Supervisors travel and per diem pay for the year 1967 -1968 would be paid on the same basis as for the past fiscal year. c. A letter from the State Office dated 7/27/67 was read. It acknowledged receipt of our Annual Report. 3. Chairman's Report: a. Chairman Coltrane reported on a Dutch dinner held at Hotel Concord July 24, 1967. Those present were: Elmer Graham, State Watershed Leader Charlie Moore, Engineering & Watershed Planning Unit (Fort Worth) Norman Leach, Engineering & Watershed Planning Unit (Fort Worth) Lonnie F. Thompson, Watershed Planning Party Leader George Sherman, State Conservation Engineer Lewis W. Dameron, Area 5, Conservationist Hugh D. Price, District Conservationist C. William Cook, Cabarrus County Watershed Commissioner Carl O. Overcash, Cabarrus County Watershed Commissioner Fred H. Harkey, Cabarrus County Watershed Commissioner Sam W. Colerider, Supervisor L. D. Coltrane, 111, Supervisor J. Lewis Patterson, Supervisor S. I. Parker,;S#ervisor, The representatives from the State Office and the E&WPU, with Mr. Dameron and Mr. Price had spent the day visiting and checking points of interest on the Coldwater Creek Watershed, which are involved in the problems that have arisen because of the elimination of Structure 12 from the Watershed improvements plans. The meeting was called by Mr. Dameron. The purpose of the meeting was for the visitors to inform the local people what government support could be expected, and what could not be expected in finances to prevent flooding of Coldwater Creek.
