Colerider, Jr. <br />Absent: <br />J. L. Cochran <br />C. C. Rimer <br />J. Archie Smith <br />Marvin J. Smith <br />1. Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. <br />2. The Chairman read a letter from the North Carolina Department of Conservation <br />and Development dated 8- 23 -67. This letter concerned a meeting to be held in <br />Albemarle on September 11, 7:30 P.M. at the Albemarle Senior High School, on <br />THE POTENTIAL OF COUNTYWIDE WATER. AND SEWER SYSTEMS. This Board will be <br />represented by Mr. Brooks and Mr. Brafford and possibly others. <br />3. Treasurer's Report: 8 -1 -67 Net Cash in Bank $956.95 <br />8 -22 -67 Paid NACD Service Dept. $ 19.00 <br />9 -1 -67 Cash in Bank $937.95 <br />95 .95 $956.95 <br />4. The District Conservationist made the following report on accomplishments for <br />the month of August: <br />12 Radio Programs <br />68 Cooperators assisted of which 40 were First Visits <br />2 Farm Plans (465 Acres) <br />56 Acres of Land Adequately Treated <br />1 Feature news article on SOIL EROSION ON BUILDING SITES <br />Membership cards have been received and distributed to Associate Supervisors. <br />5. Committee Reports: <br />Publicity: Since the last meeting, a Feature Article has appeared in Concord <br />Tribune on Soil Erosion on Building Sites. <br />Watersheds: Mr. Colerider reported on the activities of the Watershed Commissionerr <br />He explained that easements were discussed at the last meeting <br />concerning property at different structures and that progress was <br />being made to obtain the necessary information. <br />
