MINUTES SUPERVISORS MEETING CABARRUS SOILL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT MEETING NO. 97: TIME: P -lay 7, 1970 PLACE: District Office PRESENT: S. 1. Parker J. Lewis Patterson S. W. Coltrane, III Archie Smith Jerry Myers Baker Brooks Marvin Smith Lewis W. Dameron J. L. Cochran 1. In the absence of Chairman Coltrane, Vice-Chairman, J. Lewis Patterson called the meeting to order. 2. Minutes of the April meeting were approved. 3. Chairmants Report: a. Regrets were expressed over the loss of the services of Mr. Lewis W. Dameron, who is accepting a position in South Carolina. We are pleased to know that Mr. Mitchell Clary will be our Acting Area Conservationist. b. Addresses and telephone numbers of the members have been given to our County Planner, Mr. Jerry Myers, to assist him with his County Planning work. c. A letter from Mr. Grady Lane, Assistant Administrative officer, was read explaining expenses for Supervisors meetings held outside the County. d. A letter dated April 10, 1970 was read from Mr. Clyde L. Propst, Jr., Agricultural Fair Director, informing the District that we would have available space this year at the County Fair for an exhibit. e. On April 14, 1970, Mr. S. I. Parker, Mr. J. Lewis Patterson, Mr. S. W. Colerider, Jr., Mr. W. E. Cook, Mr. Fred Harkey, tir. C. William Cook, Mr. Jerry Myers and Mr. Hugh D. Price attended the Resource Conservation and Development dinner in Salisbury at Ketnerts Cafeteria. Mr. S. W. Colerider reported on the meeting. f. Attention was brought to the members that addresses had been changed for: SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION COMMITTEE, 319 POLK HALL, N. C. STATE UNIVERSITY, RALEIGH, N.
