Election of Officers: <br />A motion was made by S. W. Colerider to retain the present <br />officers. Mr. Coltrane stepped down as Chairman and asked Mr. <br />Colerider'to:,chair the vote. The motion was unanimously passed. <br />6. The District Conservationist gave the following report of <br />accomplishments for the month of December: <br />8 Radio Programs <br />27 Cooperators assisted (with 19 first visits) <br />2 Conservation Plans: <br />David Kimray - 6 Acres <br />Cannon Y.DI.C.A. - 5 1 Acres <br />2 Inventories and evaluations prepared <br />2 Acres Wildlife Habitat Development <br />100 Acres of Land Adequately Treated <br />Mr. Price reported the following: <br />December 10 ...............Roger Simpson visited with Mr. McLeod <br />studying overall review of all operations. <br />December 14 ...............Movie of School Tour was shown to all <br />work units in Albemarle at the Staff <br />conference; all the personnel was <br />quite complementary about the film. <br />December 24 <br />through <br />January 4, 1971 ........... Christmas and New Year's Holidays <br />and annual leave. <br />January 7 ................. Ileeting on no-till planting is to be <br />helc at the American Legion Build ng <br />sponsored by a Chemical Company and <br />the Allis Chalmers -Equipment Company. <br />7. Committee Reports: <br />i-_ducation. <br />a. A Motion was made and passed unan 4 MOuSly to purchase 20 copies <br />of the SOIL SZ-' BULLETIN and to order 5,000 Soil <br />Stewardship inserts. <br />b. A motion was made and unanimously passed to give $40.00 for <br />Land Judging Contest. $30.00 to first place team, $10.00 <br />to high individual. <br />
