A joint meeting of the District Supervisors and Watershed Commissioners <br />was called to order. Chairman Coltrane asked Rev. Fry to have prayer. <br />2. Minutes of the DECEMBER meeting were approved. <br />3. Chairman. ts Report: <br />a. The Election Canvas Committee gave a report of the results of <br />the December election for supervisor, S. I. Parker. <br />Oath of office was administered to: S. I. Parker, L. D. Coltrane,III <br />and S. W. Colerider. The three supervisors will serve another <br />three (3) year term. <br />M1r. Marvin Smith and Mr. J. Archie Smith, Associate Supervisors, <br />were also nominated and approved unanimously for another three (3) <br />year term. <br />b. Chairman Coltrane asked that nominations for officers for the <br />coming year be submitted. Nominations from the floor were <br />presented, motions made and unanimously passed that the three <br />officers for the Cabarrus District be as follows for 1972: <br />S. W. Colerider, Jr. Chairman <br />J. Lewis Patterson V.Chairman <br />S. I. Parker Secy-Treasurer <br />c. Chairman Coltrane presided at the January meeting. He <br />expressed regret to the members present that Chaplain, <br />Rev. Homer Fry would not be able to serve for the District <br />due to his being moved to'High Point, N. C. Appreciation <br />was also expressed to Rev. Fry for the cooperation and work <br />he has been able to do for the Cabarrus District. <br />d. Chairman Coltrane read cards from the Carl overcash family <br />and Mr. Fred H. Harkey. Mr. overcashts father passed away <br />during the past month. Mr. Fred Harkey was in the hospital <br />during the December meeting. <br />
