A joint meeting of the District Supervisors and Watershed Commissioners <br />was called to order. Chairman Colerider called on Hugh Price for prayer. <br />2. Minutes of the MARCII meeting were approved. <br />3. Chairman's Report: <br />a. Chairman Colerider introduced our guests; Mayor A. L. Brown, <br />Mr. John M. Brown, Engineer, Mr. Bobby Baucom and Mr. Steve <br />Slough of the Concord Light and Water Department. <br />An excellent slide series with narration was presented to the <br />members present. The slides explained the importance of voting <br />for the Clean Water Bond issue on May 6, 1972. Questions asked by <br />the audience were explained thoroughly. <br />The Cabarrus Soil and Water Conservation District Supervisors and <br />the County Watershed Commissioners, in agreement with all present, <br />endorsed a resolution offering their approval of the Bond issue. <br />b. A letter acknowledging the districts enrollment in the 26th annual <br />Goodyear Conservation Awards Program was read by Chairman Colerider. <br />C. A report was made on the Area VIII Spring meeting held March 28, <br />1972 in Shelby, N. C. Those attending from the Cabarrus District <br />were: S. W. Colerider, Jr., S. I. Parker, Baker Brooks, W. H. Cato <br />and Syvonne McDaniel. <br />Copies of the excellent article delivered by Mr. W. W. Stevens, <br />entitled, "DEVELOPING A GOOD WATERSHIE PR0J3CTII were distributed <br />to all members present and a copy will be mailed to those <br />members absent. <br />
