Mr. L. D. Coltrane, III <br />opened the meeting with prayer. <br />2. Minutes of the MAY meeting were approved. <br />3. Chairman's Report: <br />a. Chairman Colerider reported that he is planning to visit a <br />District Supervisors meeting in each District of Area VIII <br />during the remainder of 1973, <br />b. Entries from two Counties in Area VIII for the poster contest <br />have been submitted to the Chairman and are being held in the <br />District office. Chairman Colerider appointed a Committee <br />composed of Mr. Archie Smith, Mr. Marvin Smith and Mr. Carl <br />Overcash to select first and second winners. <br />C. The 1973-1974 District Annual Plan of Operations was thoroughly <br />explained and offered to the Board for approval. A motion was <br />made and unanimously passed accepting the Plan. <br />4. Treasurer's Report: <br />5-1-73 NET CASH IN BANK $2664.08 <br />There were no receipts or disbursements during May <br />6-1-73 NET CASH IN BANK $2664.08 <br />5. The District Conservationist gave the following report for MAY: <br />18 Radio Programs <br />46 Cooperators assisted (16 first visits) <br />2 Conservation Plans: <br />Mrs. Esther Foil 101 acres <br />Chester Misenheimer 53 acres <br />7 Inventories and Evaluations <br />700 Ft. Diversions <br />64 acres Pasture & Hayland Management <br />74 acres Pasture & Hayland Planting <br />8500 Ft. Access Road <br />138 Acres Adequately treated <br />
