MINUTES <br />CABARRUS SOIL & WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT <br />SUPERVISORS MEETING <br />MEETING NO. 142: <br />TIME: January 8, 1974 From: 7 :00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. <br />PLACE: District Office <br />PRESENT: S. W. Colerider <br />J. L. Patterson <br />L. D. Coltrane,III <br />Marvin Smith <br />Archie Smith <br />S. I. Parker <br />Fred Harkey <br />Carl Overcash <br />C. William Cook <br />John T. McClure <br />Hugh D. Price <br />W. H. Cato <br />Eyvonne McDaniel <br />ABSENT: Baker Brooks <br />C.C. Rimer <br />W. E. Cook <br />J. L. Cochran <br />1. Chairman Colerider called the joint meeting of the District Supervisors <br />and Watershed Commissioners to order. L. D. Coltrane opened the meeting <br />with prayer. <br />2. Minutes of the DECEMBER meeting were approved. <br />3. Chairman's Report <br />a. Chairman Colerider welcomed Mr. John T. McClure to the meeting, <br />b. The N. C. State Meeting will be held in Wilmington, N. C. January <br />20 -23, 1974. Mr. Colerider commented that the program scheduled <br />for the State meeting is of interest and importance to all Districts. <br />He urged all the supervisors to attend. <br />C. Election of officers for both Boards was postponed until the <br />February meeting. <br />4. Treasurer's Report: <br />12 -1 -73 NET CASH IN BANK $3743.86 <br />12 -6 -73 21 Bus Drivers (Tours) $105.00 <br />12 -6 -73 Prize money (Speech contest 65.00 <br />1 -1 -74 NET CASH IN BANK 3573.86 <br />3743.86 3743.86 <br />5. The District Conservationist gave the following report for DECEMBER: <br />20 Radio Programs <br />30 Cooperators assisted (22 first visits) <br />6 Inventories and Evaluations <br />22 Requests for assistance <br />6 Landowners applying practices <br />3 District Cooperators: <br />Leonard Arliff 7 acres <br />Bill Hammill 5 acres <br />Concord Jr. High 17 acres <br />8 Services on Resource Planning <br />3 Units of Government assisted <br />65 Acres Conservation Cropping System <br />
