Committee Reports: <br />Education: <br />a. A report was made that Becky Ritchie, the Districts' representative, <br />is in Raleigh this week attending the Conservation Resource Workshop. <br />b. A report was made that the County school authorities have been <br />contacted and they request that the District office personnel <br />make plans for Conservation Tours this Fall with the County school <br />students. <br />Finance: <br />The Matching Funds and Proposed Budget forms are being completed for the <br />State office Committee. <br />Publicity: <br />Weekly radio programs on conservation were given on Radio stations, WGTL, <br />WRKB-am,fm and WP8G. <br />Watershed: <br />The survey team began Monday, June 10, 1974 in Cabarrus County surveying <br />cross sections on streams in the Cabarrus Watershed areas. <br />7. Unfinished Business: <br />The Cabarrus District Supervisors, Associates and Watershed Commissioners <br />unanimously agreed to an outing and picnic for their families on Saturday, <br />July 13, 1974 at Lake Norman at the invitation of Mr. and Mrs. J. Lewis <br />Patterson. We are planning a great day! <br />H. New Business: <br />Travel vouchers for the District Supervisors and Watershed Commissioners <br />will be completed after this meeting and will be mailed to the State <br />Office Committee before June 20, 1974. <br />9.
