M <br />MINUTES <br />CABARRUS SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT <br />SUPERVISORS MEETING <br />MEETING NO: 162 <br />FWATE: September • 1975 PLACE: District Office TIME: 7:30 P.M.-8:45 P.M. <br />PRESENT: <br />J. Lewis Patterson <br />John T. McClure <br />Wesley B. Grant <br />Marvin J. Smith <br />ABS2NT: Roy Townsend <br />Edward Overcash <br />L. D. Coltrane,III <br />S. I. Parker <br />Archie Smith <br />S. W. Colerider,Jr. <br />a. Chairman Patterson announced that S. I. Parker had entered the <br />Cabarrus Hospital. <br />b. Bennett Overcash and his wife, Rachel, were present and were <br />presented with certificates honoring the Overcash Brothers Dairy <br />as CONSERVATION FARM FAMILY OF THE YEAR for 1975. Representatives <br />from the Daily Independent and Concord Tribune were present to <br />take pictures and receive information for release of this honor <br />to the Overcash families. <br />C. Chairman Patterson urged those present to attend the Area VIII Fall <br />meeting. Date and place will be announced at a later date when we <br />receive the information. <br />1. Chairman Patterson called the joint meeting of the District Supervisors <br />and Watershed Commissioners to order. Hugh Price gave the Invocation. <br />2.
