Chairman Patterson called the joint meeting of the District Supervisors <br />and Watershed Commissioners to order. The Invocation was given by Hugh <br />Price. <br />2. t�-ipotion was made, seconded and unanimously passed approving the April <br />minutes. <br />3. Chairman's report: <br />a. A letter of resignation dated April 13, 1976 from Miss Elise <br />Litaker was read. <br />b Cbairr an Patterson report ' ed that W. H. Cato resigned as District <br />Technician on Apri, 13, 1976. <br />4. Treasurer's report: <br />• <br />$2859.09 <br />5. The District Conservationist gave the following report for the month <br />of APRIL: <br />3 District Cooperators for a total of 214 acres; 48 services provided <br />with 19 first visits; 2 conservation plans for a total of 39 acres; <br />11 services on resource planning; 2 units of government assisted; <br />1,700 acres of soil survey completed; 20 acres critical area planting; <br />147 acres pasture and hayland managemQnt; 38 acres pasture and hayland <br />planting; 9,000 feet access road; 5,770 feet of terraces; 37 acres <br />tree planting; 35 acres woodland harvest cutting; 40 acres land protected <br />during development and 195 acres of land adequately treated. <br />27 Met with John Brown, Engineer of Cannon Mills, to discuss <br />watershed activities, <br />28 M,2t with District Conservationist, Willis Miller (Iredell County) <br />to discuss watershed activities. <br />
