Vice-Chairman John McClure called the meeting to order calling on Rev. <br />Tom Hogan for prayer. <br />2. A motion was made, seconded and unanimously passed approving the April <br />minutes. <br />3. Chairman's report: <br />a. After a short discussion, a motion was made, seconded an unanim.ously <br />passed that the monthly meetings will begin at 8:00 P.M. until the time <br />chances in the Fall. <br />Via. Mr. ',McClure welcomed fir. Paul Bowles, who will be joining the Board <br />as an Associate Supervisor and Marvin Eury of The Daily Tndependent. <br />C. Mr. N1( asked for comments from Mir. Price concerning time needed <br />for assistance from Mr. Cato. <br />With Mr. Cato's approval, a motion was made-, seconded and unanimously <br />passed that D4r. Cato will work up to/ or two days a week. The <br />increase in time for Mr. Cato will be spent on District and (Watershed, <br />activities, special meetings and activities that will. assist the <br />Distr and Watershed Commission allowing Hugh Price more time for <br />conservation planning in the County. <br />4. Treasurer's report: <br />May 9, 1,978 NET CASH TN BANK $2825.20 <br />5. The District Conservationist gave the following report: <br />a. F-rosion Studies made on eleven sections in the County have been <br />completed. <br />b. A meeting at Wingate, N. C will be held on May 11, 1978 promoting <br />the P ores try program. <br />c. Hugh Price reported that 16 District Cooperators agreements have <br />been cancelle ' d because of sale of property or death- of the Cooperat <br />Contacts of new landowners on cancelled plans resulted in approximat-ly <br />6 M% signing ne agreements. <br />
