MINUTES <br />CABARRUS SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT <br />SUPERVISORS MEETING <br />MEETING NO: 237 <br />DATE: August 11, 1981 Agriculture Center 8:15 P.M.- 9:30 P.M. <br />PRESENT: J. Lewis Patterson, Frank Herrin, C. Lipe Barrier, Dr. Marvin P. Rozear, <br />W. Whitaker Moose. <br />WATERSHED: Carl 0. Overcash, John A. Hamunill, Jr., C. William Cook <br />COUNTY COMMISSIONER: Harold Nash OFFICE: Hugh Price, Eyvonne McDaniel <br />1. Chairman Patterson called the joint meeting to order. <br />2. A motion was made, seconded and passed approving the July minutes. <br />3. Chairman's report: <br />A letter from Grady Lane dated August 4, 1981 stated ... the Soil and Water <br />Conservation Conmdssion Directive adopted on July 8, 1981, that all District <br />Supervisors claims be submitted monthly. <br />From the Office of State Budget and Management: effective July 1, 1981, <br />Part K: All reimbursement requests shall be filed for approval and payment <br />within 30 days.. <br />4. Treasurer's report: <br />BALANCE (July 1981) $2586.85 <br />July 14, 1981 Check to Dr. Rozear for mileage on <br />watershed tour to Dutchman Creek 23.00 <br />July 30, 1981 K & W Cafeteria (Meeting to discuss <br />Fair exhibit for District) 26.01 <br />NET CASH IN BANK (August 1981) $2537.84 <br />5. Committee reports: <br />FINANCE: NO DISBURSEMENTS <br />EDUCATION: <br />a. Frank Herrin reported on the meeting at the K & W Cafeteria to discuss <br />the fair exhibit sponsored by the District at the Cabarrus County <br />Fair (September 14 -19, 1981). Plans have tenatively been made to <br />borrow an interesting exhibit from Cleveland County District. <br />b. The Area VIII judging team is scheduled to visit the C. R. Barrier <br />Farms on August 12, 1981 at 9:30 A.M. Mr. Lipe Barrier was selected <br />as the District's CONSERVATION FARM FAMILY OF THE YEAR for 1981. <br />
