MINUTES <br />CABARRUS SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT <br />SUPERVISORS MEETING <br />MEETING NO: 250 <br />DATE: September 7, 1982 Cabarrus County Courthouse 7:30 P.M. <br />PRESENT: J. Lewis Patterson, Frank Herrin, Jr., C. Lipe Barrier, Sr., <br />Marvin P. Rozear, W. Whitaker Moose. <br />WATERSHED: Carl O. Overcash, C. William Cook, John A. Hammill, Jr. <br />OFFICE: Hugh D. Price, Bill Hull, Eyvonne S. McDaniel <br />1. At 7:30 P.M. the Cabarrus Soil and Water District supervisors and <br />Watershed Commissioners held their meeting at the Cabarrus County <br />Courthouse - Courtroom No. 2. Chairman Patterson called the meeting <br />to order. <br />2. A motion was made and passed approving the August minutes. <br />3. Chairman's report: <br />a. Expense vouchers for this meeting were signed by the <br />supervisors. <br />b. AREA VIII MEETING- Thursday, October 7, 1982 at the Smith - <br />Grove Ruitan Club in Davie County. Registration will be <br />from 4:30 P.M. to 5:30 P.M. Cost of the meal - $7.00. <br />Wives are invited to attend. Directions to the Club will <br />be mailed out at a later date. <br />4. Treasurer's report: <br />NET CASH IN BANK September 7, 1982 $867.44 <br />5. Committee reports: <br />FINANCE: (Dr. Rozear) <br />Dr. Rozear requested approval to pay the following expenses <br />for building the fair exhibit: Kale- Lawing Company ($35.54) <br />Morrison Lumber Company ($22.70). <br />A motion was made and unanimously passed to pay these bills. <br />EDUCATION: (Herrin) <br />a. Mr. Herrin requested a discussion on the rate of pay for <br />Bill Hull who is working part -time on District funds. <br />A motion was made and unanimously passed that the rate <br />of hourly wage ($5.73) is to be effective on the October <br />lst pay from the county. This rate is more in line with <br />the SCS pay scale. <br />b. Mr. Herrin reported that the District's fair exhibit was <br />ready to display next week (September 13 -18). <br />
