MINUTES CABARRUS SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT SUPERVISORS MEETING MEETING NO: 256 DATE: March 8, 1983 Agriculture Center 7:30 P.M. - 9:30 P.M. PRESENT: SUPERVISORS: A. Frank Herrin, C. Lipe Barrier, Dr. Marvin P. RD zear, Whitaker Moose, John A. Hanm►ill, Jr. WATERSHED: Carl O. Overcash, C. William Cook, Jerry F. Hanmill OFFICE: Hugh D. Price, Bill Hull, Eyvonne S. McDaniel OTHER: Mrs. Peggy Price, J. Harold Nash, Archie W. Barnhardt 1. Chairman Herrin opened the meeting calling on Bill Hull for prayer. 2. A motion was made and passed approving the February minutes. 3. Chairman's Report: �.. Lipe Barrier, Jerry Hamnill, Hugh Price, Bill Hull, Eyvonne McDaniel and Peggy Jackson attended the AREA VIII meeting in Statesville on March 2, 1983. (Attached is a copy of several items discussed). b. Copies of a letter from President of the N. C. Association, Charlie Patton, were distributed to the supervisors concerning funds for reimbursement to supervisors for attending meetings. No funds will be available for this purpose after MARCH 15 this year. Each supervisor is encouraged to contact Senate and House members requesting an increaseof funds for 1983 -1984 to cover supervisors attendance at metings. c. The tree seedling sale held on March 5th in the Parking lot was fairly successful. After expenses of gas, newspaper ad and reimbursement of $241.00 for cost of the seedlings, approximately $300.00 profit was made from the sale. 4. Treasurer's report: (Rozear) March 1, 1983 March 7, 1983 March 8, 1983 DEPOSIT - (Tree seedling cost 857.39 241.00 5. Conmiittee reports: �W M. a. Dr. Rozear requested a motion to pay the following: Morrison Lumber Company for cement and bolts ($27.46); 1983 membership dues to N. C. Association of Districts ($137.00); Eyvonne McDaniel - registration fee for McDaniel and Bill Hull at Area VIII meeting ($14.00); - Bill W. Hull -Land Judging prize money($40.00). The motion was made and unanimously passed.
