MINUTES <br />CABARRUS SO1,LjAND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT <br />Supervisors Meeting <br />MEETING NO: 286 <br />DATE: September 17, 1985 Agriculture Center 8:10 P.M. - 10 :10 P.M. <br />SUPERVISORS: Whitaker Moose, Lipe Barrier, Jimmy Little, Frank Herrin <br />COUNTY COMMISSIONER: Archie Y. Barnhardt <br />OFFICE: Hugh D. Price, Bill Hull, Eyvonne McDaniel <br />1. Vice- Chairman Herrin called the meeting to order. He called on <br />Hugh Price to give the Invocation. <br />2. A motion was made, seconded and unanimously passed approving the <br />August minutes. <br />3. At Hugh Price's request, the District Supervisors gave their <br />opinions of conservation tillage for the National Survey of <br />Conservation practices for 1985. <br />4. Vice - Chairman's report: <br />a. THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION WAS REVIEWED: (1) Notice of State <br />and Local Government Public Officials concerning the Fair Labor <br />Standards Act (2) Letter from David Holland requesting a <br />contribution for the State Fair booth (3) Letter from Steve <br />Bennett -Soil Conservation Wildlife Award (4) Letter from <br />Carroll Pierce on increase in reimbursement for overnight <br />stay for supervisors (5) Announcement of AREA VIII FALL <br />MEETING,and (6) N. C. Land Use Congress dues. <br />b. House Bills 1032 and 1190 and Senate Bill 298 were briefly <br />discussed. <br />5. COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />FINANCE September 17, 1985 NET CASH IN BANK $878.42 <br />a. A motion was made, seconded and passed approving a $10.00 <br />contribution for the State Fair conservation booth. <br />b. A motion was made, seconded and passed that the prize <br />money from the District's fair exhibit be placed in petty cash. <br />c. A motion was made, seconded and unanimously passed <br />authorizing payment of 1985 -1986 dues of $15.00 for <br />membership in the Land Use Congress. <br />
