MINUTES <br />CABARRUS SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT <br />Supervisors Meeting <br />MEETING NO: 343 <br />DATE: July 10, 1990 Agriculture Center 8:00 P.M.- 9:30 P.M. <br />SUPERVISORS: Frank Herrin, Lipe Barrier, Sr., Whitaker Moose <br />OFFICE: Hugh D. Price, Eyvonne McDaniel, Frankie Singleton, Dennis Testerman <br />1. Chairman Herrin called the meeting to order. Hugh Price gave the Invocation. <br />2. Minutes of the JUNE meeting were approved. <br />3. Hugh Price introduced the new employees to the District supervisors: <br />Frankie Singleton- District Technician <br />Dennis Testerm n -Cost -Share Program Technician <br />4. The report of the District Conservationist, Hugh D. Price is attached to these <br />minutes. <br />5. Chairman's report: <br />a. Video equipmnt has been purchased for the Cabarrus Soil and Water <br />District. <br />b. New District "Entering & Leaving" signs and mounting material has been <br />purchased. <br />c. Frank Herrin and Myra Morrison filed at the Board of Elections on July <br />6, 1990. Four year terms as a District Supervisor will begin after the <br />election. <br />d. Lipe Barrier, Sr., an appointed supervisor on the Board expressed that <br />he did not want to be reappointed for another term. <br />6. COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />1►14_ M <br />a. Copies of the 1989 -1990 fiscal year expenditures were distributed to <br />those present at the meting. <br />b. July 10, 1990 Check Book balance $ 6.33 <br />c. On June 12, 1990, the District supervisors unanimously agreed to work <br />out an agreement with the county to be included in the county's <br />budgeting and auditing process. The agreement was signed and sent to <br />the County Finance officer and to Mr. Charles Bullock, Chief of District <br />programs with the Soil and Water Division in Raleigh. <br />c. After all district checks written on the district's checking account <br />have cleared at the bank, the District's account will be closed out and <br />funds left will be sent to the County Finance Officer. The matching <br />funds from the Soil and Water Division will also be sent to the County <br />Finance officer after the check is received in the District office. <br />
