Board Meeting No. 368 <br />MINUTES <br />CABARRUS SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT <br />Tuesday, September 8, 1992 <br />Supervisors: Staff: Absent: <br />Sue Casper Terry Best Helen Barnes <br />Johnny Foil Frankie Singleton <br />Frank Herrin Dennis Testerman <br />Myra Morrison, <br />Whitaker Moose <br />1. Meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M. <br />2. August minutes were approved. <br />3. REPORTS <br />3.1 NC Ag Cost Share Report <br />There was concern about chemical carry over from beans in fescue <br />planting. interested in disclaimer or certifications to let <br />participant know about herbicide precaution and residuals. <br />3.11 Applications <br />The following applications were presented to the Board: William <br />C. Cannon, Jr. (2), Ralph L. Eudy, James 0. Flowe, Tommy R. Cook, <br />and Bobby E. Barrier. <br />MOTION: To approve six (6) applications for ag cost share. M (Morrison), <br />S (Foil), C <br />3.12 Discussed approval of ag cost share contracts. <br />MOTION: To approve an additional ag cost share contract with Jerry W. <br />Pless for land application of animal waste. M (Morrison), S (Moose), C <br />3.13 Harry Morris Contract <br />MOTION: To send Harry Morris copy of non-compliance letter and copy of Ag <br />Cost Share statutes. M (Morrison), S (Moose), C. <br />3.2 F1 Update <br />District Conservationist Terry Best presented two Conservation <br />Reserve Program plans to the District and the plans were <br />approved. <br />3.3 Education Report <br />Frankie Singleton reported that we had borrowed a farm display from <br />the Richmond SWCD and a composter display from the Union SWCD. The <br />farm display will be used at the Cabarrus County Fair. <br />
